Preferred Attire

In keeping with the speakeasy ambiance we do enforce a dress code: business casual through evening elegance. May we suggest slacks, a collared shirt, sweaters, vests, ties, jackets, suits, dresses, skirts, blouses, and blazers as preferred attire. Nice jeans are acceptable; however, we request jeans be untorn, untattered, and in a clean and kempt fashion.

🔹🔹As we approach our 🎆🎆🎆RED, WHITE & BLUES CELEBRATION ON THE 4TH OF JULY🎆🎆 🎆we’ll be celebrating blues legends and history with our password of the week! This week’s password honors 🎹Hersal Thomas🎹, a blues piano prodigy gone too soon. Born in Houston, Texas in 1906, 🎹Hersal Thomas🎹 was one of many talented siblings in the Thomas family. Alongside his brother, George Washington Thomas, Hersel is credited with pioneering the boogie-woogie style of blues piano. By merely 15 or 16, 🎹Hersal Thomas🎹 toured with King Oliver and Louis Armstrong and had recorded several songs under his own name, and as an accompanist to Hociel Thomas, Sippie Wallace, Lilian Miller and possibly, Sodarisa Miller. 🎹Hersal Thomas🎹 tragically died of food poisoning while working at Penny's Pleasure Inn in Detroit at the young age of 19, with the circumstances surrounding his death never clarified and shrouded in mystery.
